Dr. Nguyen Huu Ninh

Dr. Nguyen Huu Ninh is Chairman of the Center for Environment Research, Education and Development (CERED).
He is Professor, Doctor (Hon.) of University of Pécs (Hungary), Adjunct Professor of San Diego State University (USA), Doctor of Science (Hon.) of University of East Anglia (UK), Honorary Professor of Nguyen Tat Thanh University (Vietnam), Honorary Member of Vietnam Sea-culture Association, Honorary Member of Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development, and Member of Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment.
He was a contributor to the 4th Assessment Report (Working Group II) of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), when it received a Nobel Peace Prize in 2007.
He was honored by The House of Representatives, State of Hawaii, USA in 2013.
He completed his studies in Hungary, at the University of Szeged and Hungarian Academy of Sciences from 1971 to 1986. He has conducted series of projects on environment and development in Vietnam and a wider Southeast Asia during 30 years, contributed to many international programs, and published articles and books in various environmental fields as well as consultancy for several companies on climate-smart technologies.
