BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Huynh, Thi Phuong Linh is a currently research associate at IRD, French National Research Institute for Sustainable Development in Hanoi, Vietnam and frequent trainer of WANASEA project (Erasmus +). She was trained in Agronomy and Water management, obtained her Ph.D in Development Studies in the University Bonn, Germany in 2015. Since then, she has worked on the fields of anthropology and Sociology on land and water management, Mekong region and Southeast Asia focus. Her current expertise and interest lie on the linkage between environment stressors and social equalities and justice, including aspects of climate adaptation and resilience. 

 

She has experiences in collaboration with various institutions in research and consultancy projects. To name a few: support the Can Tho Office for Climate Change to prepare and successfully sign Can Tho city in the program Resilient City funded by Rocketfeller, coordinate social research program under the Phuoc Hoa development project funded by AFD and ADB, commission analytical paper for the project Transformative Adaptation to Climate Change in Coastal Cities, case study Ho Chi Minh city, coordinated by The United Nations Research Institute for Social Development (UNRISD), contribute to the report of French Development Agencies analyzing the climate change aspects for Vietnam and the region.
