Seminar Recap “Environment and Circular Economy” with the YSEALI Academy at Fulbright University Vietnam (“Fulbright”).

On 18 Mar. 2022, ICED co-organized the seminar “Environment and Circular Economy” with the YSEALI Academy at Fulbright University Vietnam (“Fulbright”). The event is within Public Policy program on Regional Environment and Resilient Development to 35 young professionals in ASEAN and Timor Leste from March 14 – 25, 2022.

We are very fortunate to have Mr. Jelmer Hoogzaad (Shifting Paradigms), Mr. Richard McClellan (RMAC Advisory, LLC), Mr. Loc Pham (Vietnam Food JSC), Dr. Patrick Schröder (Chatham House) and Prof. Walter Vermeulen (Utrecht University) to join the panel discussion.

The panel discussion covered some basic definitions Circular economy and examples how it can be implemented in practice (i.e. 8R); case studies of circular economy from companies to national scales; the role of Circular economy in climate change mitigation; inclusiveness, just transition, international trading. It was also followed by highly interactive section with all participants.
