Bio
Professor Le Vu Quan is an educator with more than 20 years of teaching and research experience in the United States and in Vietnam. He teaches primarily in the areas of international economics, macroeconomics, and economic development. His research is in the areas of entrepreneurship, governance, public health, and sustainability. His work has appeared in leading academic journals, including International Review of Financial Analysis, Journal of International Money and Finance, International Journal of Entrepreneurship Behavior & Research, and Public Health. He has held senior administrative positions in higher education at several universities. Currently, he is Vice President of Academic Affairs at the University of Management and Technology (UMT) in Ho Chi Minh City. Before returning to Vietnam, Professor Quan was Eva Albers Professor of Economics and Director of International Business Program at the Albers School of Business and Economics, Seattle University in the United States. He was a visiting professor at several universities in Vietnam since 2005. Professor Quan was a Fulbright Scholar at the Ha Noi School of Business, Vietnam National University in 2006. His second Fulbright Scholar award was at the Fulbright Economics Teaching Program, University of Economics, Ho Chi Minh City in 2016. He was also a Fulbright Specialist at Da Lat University in 2018. Professor Quan is a recipient of multiple grants from the U.S. Department of States, universities, and private foundations.
