About ICED

The Institute for Circular Economy Development (ICED) is a public science and technology research unit under Vietnam National University of Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM). It is established under the Decision No. 108 / QD-DHQG dated February 27th, 2020 of VNU-HCM and officially came into operation from August 2020 with the registration certificate of science and technology activities No. A-2-2-3-4 issued by the Ministry of Science and Technology on June, 16th, 2020.

VIsion

The Institute for Circular Economy (ICED), VNU-HCM has affirmed its position with visions to become Leading institute for circular economy (CE) in Vietnam (and the Globe South), providing: 

  • Knowledge, solutions about technologies, innovation, policies on CE related
  • A Linked Platform of Government – Industry – University with relevant stakeholders for CE and the common goals of sustainable development

Mission

  • Providing practical socio-technological solutions, innovations, policy supports on circular economy in Vietnam
  • Linking circular economy of Vietnam to the world
